Florida's growth is almost double that of the nation, with people drawn to the state's low taxes and excellent quality of life. Financial services are following right behind, including companies like Dynasty Financial Partners, which relocated its headquarters from New York to St. Petersburg.
Matt Kilgroe, CEO of Cyndeo Wealth Partners, an independent firm based in St. Pete with $1B+ in assets, notes that while in the past many financial services clients were retired, today the number of his clients who are still working is close to 60%.
St. Pete is a hub for financial services, including Raymond James Financial and Cathie Wood's ARK Invest. Financial services is the city's largest employment sector.
