A global leader in technology- driven tax solutions, CrossBorder Solutions has decided to call St. Petersburg, Florida home for its 120 employees. Originally founded in 2001, CrossBorder Solutions has become an industry leading fintech company that has developed AI technology that complements human tax professionals to bring more efficient results to their customers, and prevent costly penalties.
The announcement for CrossBorders to relocate their headquarters to St. Pete accompanies the influx of interest for tech companies globally looking to call the Sunshine City and the Tampa Bay area home. With the move CrossBorders plans to continue to provide innovative tax solutions by recruiting top talent that is in the area.
“Our decision to relocate our corporate headquarters represents a significant milestone for our fast-growing company,” said Don Scherer, CEO of CrossBorder Solutions. “Despite the challenges brought on by COVID-19, we felt it was imperative to bring together our growing sales and software-development teams in a truly meaningful and collaborative way. The move enables us to continue to provide industry-leading solutions and products to our clients, while also hiring additional talent that will further drive innovation.”
CrossBorder Solutions plans to hire nearly 300 jobs locally in the upcoming year as the company continues to grow, hiring mostly sales and development positions. With eight offices globally, they are now occupying 42,518 sq. feet of the previous Valpak building in the Gateway district calling St. Pete their new headquarters.
“We have seen a significant influx of technology companies moving to the Sunshine City,” said Mayor Rick Kriseman. “This isn't an accident. Our Grow Smarter strategy is working. It is essential that we continue to attract companies like CrossBorder Solutions that reinforce our commitment to the technology ecosystem here in St. Pete. I want to thank Don Scherer and everyone at CrossBorder Solutions for choosing St. Pete."
“We are excited to welcome CrossBorder Solutions to St. Pete,” said J.P. DuBuque, President and CEO of the St. Petersburg EDC. “Their headquarters relocation from New York confirms our (St. Pete, FL) continued growth and strength as a tech hub.”
