Matt Sevarino began his role as the Managing Broker for Douglas Elliman's offices in Sarasota and St. Petersburg, FL in May 2024. Before joining Douglas Elliman, he was a sales associate in Lakewood Ranch, FL, where he has lived since 2008. Over his three years as a sales associate, Matt facilitated transactions exceeding $50 million in value for buyers and sellers across Manatee and Sarasota counties.
At Douglas Elliman, Matt has distinguished himself as an exceptional professional with deep local knowledge, a steadfast commitment to client satisfaction, and a diverse multicultural background. Before his real estate career, he spent over 20 years in international finance at General Electric. In his final role there, Matt served as the regional CFO for GE Energy's field service company while based in London, where he managed responsibilities across 75 countries and led a team of over 500 employees. This experience fostered his love and appreciation for other cultures, greatly enriching his current role in real estate. "Florida is a magnet for international residents. I enjoy connecting with people from all around the world, helping them seamlessly navigate the local real estate scene." His expertise encompasses a wide range of property types and price levels. When he is not busy with real estate, Matt enjoys indulging in his personal interests. A graduate of the University of Connecticut, he is a huge fan of college basketball. He also enjoys playing golf and watching sports, particularly the Tampa Bay Lightning, NY Yankees, and NY Giants. Matt resides in Lakewood Ranch with his wife, Lora, and their 3 sons. Each of his sons is pursuing a graduate degree in a different field, highlighting the diversity and ambition that runs in the family.
