MXTR Automation, a full-service digital marketing, and marketing automation company has selected St. Petersburg for its second location. The company is currently leasing space in St. Pete’s Tec Garage but plans to open an office in downtown St. Petersburg in the coming months.
MXTR has recently developed a proprietary marketing automation tool that allows OEM/franchisors to integrate programs at both the enterprise level and the local level. They plan to hire up to 20 employees within the next 18 months to support the expansion of this application. Front End Developers and Account Managers are among the first to be hired. MXTR Co-Founder & President, Mickey Locey believes the robust St. Pete workforce will guarantee his business’s success.
“St. Petersburg will provide us access to one of the broadest and deepest talent pools in the country with a business-friendly tax environment. The lifestyle the downtown affords is exactly what we are looking for,” said Locey.
The company was founded in 2015 in Williamsport, PA. Since MXTR is a relatively young company, strategically choosing a second location was crucial. MXTR considered several other locations, including other Florida communities, but ultimately chose St. Petersburg.
“I couldn’t think of a better second home for MXTR. The technology and business ecosystems in St. Petersburg are truly second to none,” said MXTR Founder, Joe Mauro. “The concierge-level service provided by the EDC, City of St. Pete and Tec Garage have shown us just how great the opportunities are here.”
MXTR has found that the combination of a culture that attracts and supports highly skilled, creative talent and the availability of training and support provided by organizations such as the Greenhouse and the Iron Yard will provide the perfect place to support their growth and success.
“St. Pete has become a community where creative, high-impact companies want to be. MXTR’s decision to locate here shows, once again, that St. Pete is a great place for these highly sought-after companies. We are excited to continue to support the creation more jobs in this thriving city we are so proud of,” said St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman.
The St. Pete EDC sees the deal as continued momentum for the City’s economic growth and proof the objectives of the Grow Smarter Strategy are being fulfilled. The EDC will continue to partner with MXTR to assist in the expansion and development of the company.
Michael Vivio, Chairman of the EDC notes, “We are thrilled to welcome another outstanding organization to St. Pete. The EDC is committed to supporting and fostering its progress, and connecting it with the people and programs to help it grow.”
