A recent Crunchbase article highlights several blockchain companies that are located at the St. Pete-based Tampa Bay Innovation Center or have participated TBIC’s Innovation Accelerator program, which prepares tech ventures to scale their companies:
- Block Spaces (TBIC Innovation Accelerator 2021 cohort), blockchain integration platform
- eNotary Log (TBIC Innovation Accelerator 2019 cohort), online notarization platform
- SKUx (Downtown St. Pete at TBIC), financial technology consumer rewards platform for retailers, brands, and marketing agencies

SKUx uses blockchain to help consumer brands and retailers minimize fraud, using a consumer engagement took that “combines offer details, serialization, funding, and settlement,” said Co-founder and Executive Vice President Bobby Tinsley after the company raised $1 million in equity financing in a new round of funding last year.
The Tampa Bay Innovation Center, located in St. Petersburg, serves as the focal point of innovation for Florida and the Tampa Bay region by building technology companies, building the innovation community, and teaming with innovation partners.
