St. Petersburg Area EDC COVID-19 Business Resource Guide

As global concern about the current COVID-19 outbreak grows, it remains a top priority of the Greater St. Petersburg Area EDC to equip local businesses and our stakeholders with the resources and information that can be of assistance during as we work to navigate this rapidly changing situation. While our physical office is closed, EDC staff is virtually available to answer questions and to be a resource during this challenging time.

Now more than ever, St. Pete’s hospitality industry needs our support as restaurants, bars, and local businesses cope with the impacts of COVID-19 that is significantly limiting their ability to operate. In partnership with Modern Business Associates and the St. Petersburg Chamber, the St. Petersburg Area EDC is asking business leaders to purchase carry-out lunch or dinner from local restaurants for themselves, their families and their employees who may be working remote. The community is encouraged to participate as much as possible with a significant push on Friday, March 27. Access a full list of restaurants offering to-go selections here.

United Way Suncoast understands the concern surrounding COVID-19 across the United Way Suncoast communities and is closely monitoring the ongoing threat. Up-to-date information and resources are available to help families through the crisis at the United Way Suncoast Resource Center.

Bilingual Emotional Support Helpline

Florida Blue launched a 24-hour, free emotional support helpline for all Floridians, in partnership with New Directions Behavioral Health. Any Floridian – even if uninsured or insured by another plan – can call 833-848-1762 for support in managing feelings of stress, anxiety, grief or fear related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The City of St. Petersburg Office of Emergency Management is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and is working with County and State agencies.
